2017 Cumberland County Conservation District Annual Golf Tournament
The 15th Annual Cumberland County Conservation District Golf Tournament was held at Rich Valley Golf on Friday
September 22, 2017. We had a good turnout with 80 golfers that came out to enjoy a round of golf and support a good cause. This year's winning team
shot an impressive 20 under par 51 on a beautiful day. The District would like to thank everyone at Rich Valley Golf
and Nolo's that helped make the day a success. Also a special thank you to all of our sponsors! Their contributions
allow us to continue our efforts in providing scholarships to Cumberland County students. This year's event
brought in over $3,500 for scholarships and to date the tournament has raised over $25,000. And finally,
thank you to all of the golfers that came out to enjoy the day with us. We hope to see you next September!
Each year the Conservation District organizes a golf tournament to raise money for environmental education
activities in the County. The money is used for scholarships, the Envirothon and other educational efforts.
Our goal each year is to raise enough money provide three $500 college scholarships for Cumberland County students.
Since we started the annual golf tournament in 2003, we have raised over $20,000.
This year's winning team was Mitch Gelbaugh, Jim Price, Rick Price and Jordan Neff.
